If you call someone from your local government (land use control board, planning, etc) they should either direct you to a website that has the published information or you could pick up a copy if the info isn't "flown" on the web.Most storage units I've appraised have been taxed as one parcel with the majority of properties being owned in fee simple.

My experience is in Alabama association law, but I suspect the principles are universal:  There is a hierarchy of rules for HOAs and just like government documents, a lower ordinance can be used to execute and make more specific a "higher rule," but can't contradict it.

Unfortunately, that won't matter as  Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSE’s) that set the guidelines for conventional loans, which most lenders follow for other types of loans, too, require that a condo building’s master hurricane insurance policy provide 100% coverage of the replacement value for the building.
