This is easy to see in earnings reports for credit card companies (that continue to blow out earnings, with travel as their lead category), hotel companies, and Airbnb itself.I think a lot of it is just going overseas now as international travel continues to strengthen.

@Collin H.With credit card defaults and auto defaults on the rise as well as overall debt - people will start tightening the belts and first thing they will get rid of is spending on travel and vacations etc So reading this I am not surprised - how has 2024 been compared overall to last year ?

We fought for this for several reasons: 1. tourism is our main economy 2. there are an incredible amount of dilapidated homes that could be renovated and made beautiful if the investment return justified it (which STR in a beach town could) and 3.this is a family-friendly, lower-cost and now COVID friendly way to travel.

I'm a licensed agent in both markets, licensed general contractor in columbus and soon to be miami, I travel to capital markets and the highest interest is in ground up construction and purchasing of entitled sites. 1 million is light for downtown but you can get 8-12 story sites for that that you can put high density on. phenomenal opportunities. best market in the country. you can sweat equity by doing the zoning meetings, helping on design, etc.

I've started cold calling local hospitals and larger businesses trying to see if I can secure a contract to provide them with a place to house their traveling professionals so more to come on that.
