We had never owned a home in Spain as such but a few days ago we found out that we wouldn't be eligible even if the house was given to us as a gift (the house was registered under my mother in law's name) but we sold it prior to movingwhat do we do now?

@Thomas Perrie I’m in Florida, my dad has about ten rental properties he owns through his trust or my mothers trust free and clear.

There is no advantage here for your mother.....only possibly for you, maybe.  

The mother is super clean and the kids are unbelievably well behaved.  

My mother put fwd abt 9k towards the 15k downpayment.

Currently under contract with a small single family home that a got through a friends mother.

The situation:-I have one rental property right now and am looking for a second -My parents are divorcing and want to sell their 3bd 2ba home but still owe $470k on it. According to zillow, it's worth around $535k, so...

The mother died without a will and the daughter had so many other issues at the time that she just couldn't deal with it, she is relatively young and drugs were involved w her mother's death, so there are a lot of issues here. 

I live in Bangor area but I look all over. my I'm all ways fixing up my mother's propertys.

What have some people done in regards to paying for utilities and internet within a home with a mother in law set up?
