John Chin I did the same, went to the weekend workshop about 3 years ago.

I had went to the Than Merrill seminar and paid for the 3 day workshop.

I do them as a buy and hold investment.Considerations:My tenants are lease optionsMy tenants are small business owners and self employedThe properties are usually 2 acres minimum and usually have "stuff" (pole barns, stocked ponds, workshops, barns, etc.)Houses are 1500sf  3/2's and aboveOption period is a yearI help them with credit issues and intro them to a lender

ok guys, I had a bad experience at the Fortune Builders workshop a while back.

I wish I could tell you I have some experience in real estate investing but at this point I have only attended a couple work shops.

Go the other way and convert the store to living space/workshop for some artist.

I'm taking it slow this time around and will be taking a workshop on investing/flipping houses next week.
