I guess timing of the roof in other states comes down to how harsh the climate is there.The heat does prematurely bake roofs here but we are lucky to get an inch of snow a year so the cold is not an issue really.

I found this one, I can find another :) My goal is to start slowly, purchasing a home or condo on or near water that I can occupy in the winter and  rent out during the summer through a property management while I travel to cooler climates with my husband in our RV.
