Was wondering if anyone has any experience with building/operating an event venue.

That said they are trying to utilize a similar approach that Winston did several years ago of building a downtown baseball stadium that can be used as a multi-purpose venue and planning on restaurants and bars to come in town to take advantage of increased traffic. 

Start by getting knowledge about Real Estate industry and BiggerPockets is the best venue to learn. 

It's in their list of Chapters, but doesn't currently have a venue or a meeting scheduled.

I have done quite a lot of this over the years and in certain venues ( can't tell you since its my cardinale rule not to create my own competition LOL) the partnership idea works pretty good but comes with a lot of hair.I have two that I had to full blown litigate to get the seller off the dime.. once I paid their tax's for them they just go dark..

To myKnowledge it keeps happening pretty regularly but the venue does change.

I took a 3 bedroom one bath colonial and turned it to a four bedroom three bath magnificent home that sold off market.

We tried going virtual when our venue was shut down by Covid.

I am looking to build a wedding venue in CT and there is a plot of land I am interested in.
