Cons are the cost involved in (both time and money) and loosing out on having a professional to guide you through the process. 

I'd say my property is a B-C class; not knowing anything about Cleveland at first, I was fortunate to have a great realtor who guided me on getting to know the different areas better during my search (also during an actual visit out there).
