Because ministry doesn't pay, and that's not really why I do it in the first place. haha Just wanted to introduce myself.

We had conventional financing in progress but at the last minute bank noticed that this property has no rental history available (former housing by a local ministry for single mothers) and they wanted to see liquid assets in the range of $500k which we do not have. 

There is large ministry, International House of Prayer- Kansas City, located in 64137.  

Our rental market here is still very strong from the fires, etc. and we have a ministry school that sucks up a lot of rental space, and STR.  

@Shafi Noss great question:1) enjoy the freedom to be with my wife and children; help my wife achieve her dreams (I do this now)2) create a platform to help others achieve their dreams3) dive into a deeper mission of supporting church ministries and missions

Both bivocational but want to start rental property as a way to get the passive income to not be a burden to our ministries while be able to devote more time to them.

Unless you're a ministry and want to do philanthropic work at a loss, you have to deal with reality.My comments weren't to be mean, just looking at what you're dealing with and how to make it work.
