I'm advertising a 1 bedroom house (450 sq ft - half sheet vinyl / half carpet).

This year, between tenants, I will be replacing the carpet with vinyl flooring, updating the bathroom vanity/lighting/mirror, and some other small updates such as changing out light fixtures, and faucets, and switching the old blinds from fresh curtains.

For hard working rooms, I typical use peel & stick vinyl because it doesn't need a professional installer (myself or a handyman can do a good job).

Install water proof lam or solid core vinyl flooring if you don't have replacements for the white floor tile (which in FL I would live with if I could).

There is a big difference in quality from the older late 1800's to early 1900's wood/vinyl side buildings compared to the 1930's and earlier brick built properties.

Well here's what we ran into, David:You by and large need white trim if you're going to do cheap vinyl replacement windows, any sort of easy quarter-round on the floor.

Next was a warped vinyl floor related to a water leak.

We use luxury vinyl flooring and get much better value for the money invested.
