I have associates who dropped a good amount on note schooling and now do not own any notes because of either lack of inventory or other distractions.

That’s what happens when you have too many deals going on at once, you get distracted.

As newbies, it is a challenge discerning what are shiny objects that can serve as distractions as oppose to new information that will serve our benefit.

You are in a great spot, just don't get distracted by the "real world"  and forget about investing . 

That bedroom decor...the living room with the twig art...and that crib, the width of the openings can be within current safety code (not that your going to get that when you buy the house it’s a distraction).

This will help you stay focused, avoid the distractions that are typical for real estate investors, and get you to where you really want to be.  

Cries of evil socialism from those who don't realize they already live in a system with A LOT of socialist elements, and the poor being vilified as the source of our ills....Get them distracted and fighting among themselves while we consolidate power. 

I enjoyed the event, it was very entertaining, there were some excellent speakers but I felt it was more of a distraction to me personally from my ultimate goals (building a multifamily business) than something that would help propel me to the next level.

This is negotiable depending on the market, season, and how strongly I want this tenant but I don't advertise that I'm negotiable.I don't do a walk-through with the tenants because my law doesn't require it, it's very time consuming, and they can easily distract you from the task at hand.

Dont get distracted by the excitement of the deal.
