You can create the LLC in any state as many used a Delaware LLC or a Nevada LLC years ago because of anonymity and some other law unique to these states but don't think it's common anymore.

The practice gives banks, hedge funds, and some dark pools, where orders are matched anonymously, an advanced look at order flow.

Wyoming or Nevada LLC gives you anonymity but it would be used to hold your LLC which holds the underlying property.Don't make this complicated on a SFR or your first or second investment property.

The trust won't do anything to protect you from liability and if you are the trustee, it also won't protect your anonymity.

The operating company takes on all of the liability that would otherwise blow back on you including: paying property management, paying contractors, collecting rent, marketing, etc.5th pillar is owning everything anonymously.

I understand that I need an LLC to operate safely in REI and have been through some classes that explained several concepts about how to structure them to stay as SAFE and ANONYMOUS as possible.
