Even old wood windows can often be fixed with some sanding and paint.Single pane, raw aluminum is ugly and old wood frame is a pain to operate but they work well enough and not replacing them helps me keep my rents within reach for families who need affordable housing.In some cases I will replace a single window in a house if the frame is destroyed but I never do the whole house.

If it helps think of the $1440 you would be down this year as just another repair item :) it’s about the price of an appliance or 2 anyway.I’d give it a while and see if you might get a little interest rate relief.

While cashflow may be good in NB, I doubt it will match the value growth in our biggest growth markets.The risk is in tenants not paying rent, and the pain in evicting them.
