Brushing off a couple inches of snow was fine, but I hated digging out from a plow pile, pushing a foot of snow off the roof, or scraping icy windows.

If the tenants are worried about cold feet, they can get an area rug.Carpet is little more than a lint brush attached to your floor. ;-)

If you are ripping it out and there are any studs with a bit of mold you can wire brush them down up to 1/16th of an inch (use a drill where you can), spray with clove oil diluted in orange oil (citrosolve), let dry 24 hours and then paint studs with Zinsser BIN primer/sealer or another shellac sealer.

This is especially true for apartment buildings because the existing inventory is static and there isn't a lot of space for more; plus much of the rental pool prefers the metro area, and the cost to build is prohibitive.

Went around to the front door, fought through the trees, brush, and thorns to knock on that one; no answer.

Look up MAO here on BP and brush up on the math if you're not sure what a good deal is yet.

@Perry Ivy: almost anything is better than carpet - which is just a big lint brush on your floor.

I only know Waterbury in a broad-brush way but would caution you not to be star-struck by the prices.

He *might* be handy with a leaf blower or paint brush.  

Now I'll have to pay for brush removal.
