Hernan Guelman State tax as a reason not to get into new state?

Don't let the tax tail wag the dog it's attached to.Just plug the state taxes into your numbers.If the numbers still work, then go ahead and invest in the state that has taxes.If the numbers don't work, then don't invest in that particular deal and look for others.

If that is the case, then you are liable for building errors (10ish year tail), code violations, civil issues, etc, basically you are a 'partner' in anything stupid they did, so you are liable, and potentially for 100% of the error (you'll be rolling the dice on the joint and several thing).
