NYC, Dallas, San Antonio, Seattle, Columbus, Louisville, Tulsa, Juneau, New Orleans, or Chicago?

I'm a real estate broker here in Seattle, but also have great connections in New Orleans/Baton Rouge.

We had Katrina here in New Orleans , rioting , police shooting, all out mayhem.

@John Maxi You should assume any property in Orleans parish will require flood insurance if you are financing it.   

I am located in New Orleans but soon will be moving to Dallas Tx.

In my opinion, the hottest markets are the hardest markets to invest in.Some of the hottest markets in Louisiana are New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles.

I am finding in New Orleans that it is very competitive, and prices are fairly high. 

I'm interested in doing some things in my current area, as well as looking into opportunities in the New Orleans, LA area, where I'm originally from and have family that's heavily involved in real estate there.

I was burnt on the purchase of an absolutely stunning condo in New Orleans...only to find out the 'Association President' was in with the PM ripping off hundreds of thousands...
