It is assumed (no pun intended) that you are assuming the loan because of either very favorable terms or because you can't get a conventional loan yourself, both of which are probably not possible with the FHA.

I say that cause if the loan products offered from both types of banks are similar I always go with the smaller bank and "bank" (forgive the pun) on the future relationship I am building.
