Initially, I would NOT make it my "default" browser (the installation will ask you whether you want that or not), just to get accustomed to it, and also because some sites are "tuned" to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer (or Exploder :D) and might not function well with Firefox (you find those by hit-or-miss sometimes, unfortunately - but some do say "better with IE" or something like that).http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Hi James, If you want to just track the progress of the work being performed and make sure you stay on schedule, I would use microsoft project.

I love Microsoft Outlook, and no one in the office uses it, so I need to set that up, too.

Being new you will likely need to rely on pay per click (PPC) from Google Adwords and Microsoft, which will be another monthly expense. 

Rent demand is very strong for multiple reasons (several universities, low inventory, Microsoft/other companies in the area).

there are a few threads on here about this...i use quicken property manager. cost around $100 and i like it. keeps personal and business info on there. it has some issues, but simple to use. i wish microsoft money was as powerful and was still around...
