These were also commercial (balance sheet) loans not agency, so bank had more flexibility.But as mentioned, if you are not going for agency (fannie mae, freddie mac) loans, the lender has a lot more flexibility because they are lending their own money. 

It's typical for agents that do a lot of investor deals to do this sort of thing, so your agent should be able to explain the process.

I shopped around for Agents and found one who had 10 years of local experience.
