Inventory is low - we obviously don't know the area well - and, because of our career in house rehabilitation and design - we can't bring ourselves to looking at cookie cutter properties.Our trip has been great in giving us a dose of reality.

I've found relationships with personal officers of smaller portfolio banks to be ever so much more flexible and productive than the large non-portfolio cookie cutter internationals and mortgage mills.Join the Rotary or country club with your banker and grow the relationship.

Haven't moved there yet, still running my business in ND and looking to make the transition as soon as I can find financing at the moment with my business being only ten months old I don't fit into the nice cookie cutter mold that underwriters at banks want, even though income can be proven.
