You can try mid term rentals for traveling nurses because of the location and proximity to hospitals, but long-term would also be OK for that unit as well. couple things that I noticed right away, just by looking at the atlas listing.

Financials and strategy aside which I'm sure you've got down, It's important to look at the external risk factors when renting out ANY  property as an SRO Single Room Occupancy in NYC.

Not sure how much research you have done on the area but with the Amtrak being built that will allow travel from Scranton to NYC, I’m fairly certain that gentrification will start taking place before 2030.

Hi BiggerPockets community,We have a MTR that we rent the main floor and lower level separately to traveling healthcare professionals.

The population has been growing here year over year over the last decade, it is home to The Ohio State University which has over 50,000 students that live here along with those that visit, and it also holds a diverse range of young professionals and traveling nurses to fill the demand of the multiple business corporations and hospitals stationed here.

But I have investors that bought properties with me pre 2020 and their properties have all gone up in value 30-40% so you never really know what external factors can positively or negatively affect each market.But even though prices have slightly gone up in this area, there are still a lot of good deals to be had, depending on what types of properties you're looking for and the type of neighborhood you're looking to invest in.  

My wife is about to sign up for some travel nurse site that is tailored to that community for STR use.
