Being on a hillside would kinda give me a warm and fuzzy, sorta.Alot of coulds, cans, mights, and shoulds, with a kinda and a sorta thrown in for good measure.

If they've been smoking in it for years this might not work but I mixed a solution of vinegar and warm water and wiped down about every square inch of walls and windows in a rental where it smelled very bad of smoke.

I would limit the exterior work to pressure washing the exterior and painting the front door in a warm earth tone color.Maybe you could dress up the front porch area with a few potted plants, and 2 cherry stained wooden chairs with throw pillows or something.
