A great investment property and helping the rejuvenation of the community.

Once these towns along the Hudson that have already been rejuvenated get too pricey, people start looking for lower cost options for second homes/vacation areas outside of NYC.

Is the downtown area rejuvenating?

My strategy is long term buy and hold for the property however there is potential for solid appreciation as the city is going through a rejuvenation and is focused on revitalizing the city.  

If there is wood flooring and/or wood cabinetry, try refinishing them with Murphy's Oil Soap or Rejuvenate products.

I am gambling that the city's downtown rejuvenates as per its plan, and the ferry is successful.

According to what I've researched it appears that some parts of 60628 are in about the late 3rd to early 4th stage of rejuvenation and the Chicago Neighborhood Initiative is behind the progress.
