I am writing today because I have found what I think to be some great opportunities for wholesale deals where I live (Chilliwack, British Columbia Canada) but I am unsure of how to acquire them.They are not listed, I am basically intending to do a "cold" approach and either knock on their door myself, use a persuasive realtor to phone them or maybe even a flier advertising cash for homes?

I'm sure some people are more persuasive than others but if there's some rapport and the seller is really in the mood to sell you have a great potential for an agreement.

To me, these anecdotes are more than just isolated tales of misery and woe - they illustrate patterns of behavior, influence, persuasion, rationalization and more across all of the REI market, and that's just fully fascinating.

@Dennis M.I’m of the same persuasion as you but would like a real estate attorney to weigh in with the actual verbiage of the Dodd-Frank bill that addresses this.

I'm also of the persuasion to pay them back no matter what happens on the investment side.I guess I'm thinking for a retiree, in return for the 50k of offering something like $500 p/m repayment at 10%.

Now, after being in real estate, I realize that these programs are EXCEPTIONAL at sales and persuasion and they know what insecurities to feed off of.
