I've got enough money saved up to start a project when I get the chance though. My current hesitation is if I'm getting into buy-and-hold, its scary to do my first properties in the hurricane zone that I live in, because I can just imagine that when I deploy even if everything is well-managed by property managers or something, I'll still have worrying in the back of my head, and I don't want that distraction while on mission. My current thought is to study for a California license (where my parents live and where I went to highschool), and then once I get out of Pensacola and maybe stationed somewhere in CA I can start going at it (obviously location isn't entirely under my control, but that's what I've been thinking regardless).
