New Military Member from Pensacola / Orange Beach / Gulf Shores

Hello all, my name is Jasper, I just moved here this month to attend flight school as a Naval Flight Officer at NAS Pensacola. I live in Perdido Key, right near Pensacola, Florida, as well as Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Also nearby are Pace, Destin, and Milton. I just graduated from Boston University with a degree in Computer Science and Economics.

I'm new to real estate investing, although my dad is an architect and grew up around construction. I've listened to about 30 of the BP podcasts and read 5-6 books since I got interested in real estate a month or two ago. I'm most interested in getting into buy and hold investing because a passive income business is important to me since I'll have to be in training for a couple years and then deploy.

I'm the type of guy who'd be jumping in headfirst, hustling, and working 24/7 on this business if I was in the civilian world, but I'm currently a little hesistant as my military training comes first, and I'm worried about diving in too deep before I know the full extent of my committment during training.

Anyways, I'm going to continue reading and learning until I figure out what's good with my training timeline. I thought I'd make introductions now though!
