I'm active duty military and currently deployed but that doesn't stop me from pursuing deals. 

These vehicles are not a means for you to obtain access to tax-sheltered funds, but rather a way to deploy the tax-sheltered funds differently.

Or will they deploy a few billion to buy at first sign of a dip?

Whether we’re looking at properties, cold-calling, deploying new marketing tactics to generate leads, underwriting deals, or having the ability to watch the morning shows without rushing through our normal routines, one thing is certain.

In my mind, SCRA is more for a situation where the tenant received unexpected orders to deploy during their lease term.

That said, there are still some plans of attack that can be deployed to exploit what is going to be a complicated mess.

However being that I am going to use a VA loan on this property (still active duty), the numbers do not work out to what I would consider a good deal. 2400 mortgage before setting aside for all other expenses (including management due to constant deployments) when I could only get 2900 in rent if done per unit.

Many HNWIs however are looking for more stable, cash-flowing real assets to deploy cash into as they're fleeing public markets, and bonds/treasuries are paying dismal returns.

I've deployed about 80% so far.

It seem the big question was about the back story, I am in the Navy and will be returning from deployment very soon.
