I dont know about Knoxville but they cant be as severe as California.Typically a "consultant" would be a lawyer who has studied the zoning, building, and housing laws in your jurisdiction.

I ultimately tried Rochester, NY first and then met Jake and we invested in Knoxville where Jake lived.

So, I suppose I'm asking if you think I should also look at other regional areas, GSP, CLT, maybe Raleigh/RTP, or Knoxville/Johnson City, or do you think it's better to continue saving, continue learning about my local Asheville market, and see what comes up?

I just broke ground on 2 new builds in the Knoxville TN area.
