I served with several people who used their time in the military and their travels to invest in multiple markets, adding some diversity to their portfolio of properties...this is one thing you can consider if you are able to handle not being close to the properties all the time.I am not sure what the market is like there in Charleston, but if it is good that could present a new starting point for you.
