We've talked about this for a few years now, and only finally made the jump because of currency values changing, plus hubby hearing about a former colleague who's now in the USA and whose husband doesn't work but just manages their five rentals.

You probably try on different shoes/pants before you buy a pair...this is way more important than shoes or pants...try on many different banks before making a decision. 

So you can do 9 in your name alone, and 9 in her name alone, but if you do the 10th together we will go [ 9 + 9 + 1 = 19 = greater than ten ] and say "no" even though neither of you alone has more than 10.I did "fourplex" financing a while back for a deal that was, on paper, actually a pair of adjoining duplexes with a shared driveway.

It is worth keeping in mind that the Fed controls the short-term rates, not the long term ones (now that they stopped buying long term treasuries and even then it was indirectly), which are much more influenced by the long-term expectations of inflation and the international flow of money (think, is there instability in Russia that causes Russians to pull out their money out of the country and invest it in the safe-heaven like US, is the unpredictable and shifting US policy going to keep the US dollar's status as the de facto world currency, etc).

I also don't trust the dollar that much due to the screwy games the Federal Reserve and other national banks are doing to their currencies. 

Just get Y the seller and X end buyer pair them up and get my option money and assign my lease option and leave?
