@Hattie Dizmond please don’t fall for that “offsetting tax” scam many politicians push every year.Here in Oregon we have politicians which emphatically plea every few years for the voters to pass a state sales tax; saying it will offset our property and income tax.

My houses wont pass a section 8 inspection , they dont have granite countertops . 

This particular proposal still has to get through committee before heading back to house and senate and the odds that it will look anything close to what it looks like now is, in my opinion, pretty slim.There are a few reasons why I think that this is unlikely to pass as written:1. 

As long as the property is safe and there are no major systems defects, it will likely pass a conventional appraisal.

We haven't found any deals that high yet and frankly we would have to have a volume of them to pass a return like that on.

I screen every adult occupying the property and they must each pass as a individual in most cases.

There are multiple basement water leaks whenever it rains.This owner got this place temporarily watertight and painted the ceilings, and now is trying to pass a bad investment off to you and make $150K off the handyman work it took to get the place presentable.

The tenants still have to pass a credit score check. 

Getting your license is the easy part m take 3 classes (online or in person), pass a background check and State exam and you are licensed.

Real estate agents just needs a high school diploma and pass a mickey mouse sales exam and now the top real estate agents can make as much as doctors and lawyers do.Even financial advisors are perceived to have more respect than real estate agents even though they may push high commission insurance and annuities products that may not be in the best interest of their clients.
