In my view, these numbers make it a slam dunk for a first deal and will start giving you a tax return history that you can use for loans once you get two years of rental history (this is what my lender requires).

Hello, I have a father in law and a son in law that are looking to rent one of the units I own in Cleveland, The father in law has a criminal history and the son in law has a clean record, the other unit we rent , the parents rent the unit and they all want to be there, it puts me in an uncomfortable situation , what is the best way to reject ?

And while you likely can’t be added to the mortgage directly, you’d have some options around either owing the partner a personal debt that is in lockstep with the mortgage (also attorney written) or you’ll need to refi out of the first mortgage and get another that you’re on (but will probably be mostly based on your partners’ credit histories)At the end of the day, get in touch w an attorney and they’ll guide you through it all.
