I would say they would be great for college areas, possibly even downtown or north tacoma areas where lots of people are taking traveling short-long term jobs. 

This includes a 19-year-old college student living with his parents and a 70-year-old grandparent.

It would be a good idea for you to talk with the college housing people at the university from which you wish to draw to see what the capabilities of their students are with regard to rent.
