When I have had this situation, I communicate well expressing the urgency on my part, provide access to another unit (if I have a vacancy nearby), and may give them a gift card or something for their trouble.

That might create an urgency to buy property before you find the right deal.

You almost completely disregard the "verbal acceptance," and push for the fully ratified contract, signed and delivered, by creating a sense of urgency that you feel is appropriate for the situation at hand.

A lot of them are extremely laid back and definitely don't have the sense of urgency most "mainland" investors are used to.

I have recently sent out my first round of DM letters and have a few other irons in the fire, so I need to act with urgency.

I need to find cash to buy the condo. our urgency is to sell the house first and then we can work on the condo later. 

On my last visit I felt a sense of urgency to try and help the island recover in someway but I believe this is deeper than most of us know.
