Absolutely! I am a newby myself and actively looking for my first investment property. I’m mainly interested in 3 to 5 unit properties where I’d owner occupy.

Definitely focus on educating yourself and networking. Go to several local real estate meetups in your area, be outspoken, and ask a ton of questions. That has been a big help to me so far.

@Adam Goldberg thanks for reaching out Adam. Seems like we have a small handful of people that would be interested in meeting up to chat about this area. I’ll see if I can start a meetup and post on this thread when I do. Not sure if I can without a Pro membership but I’ll find out. Zach

@Gerardo Lewis Gerardo, were you able to determine an answer for this? I believe that you can obtain a second FHA mortgage, as long as the first one gets paid off first. So you could refi out of the first FHA to obtain a second, as long as you owner-occupy again for a year.
