Hi, I'm curious to know if there are currently any meetups in Switzerland?? It's a very small country so I won't ask about individual cantons (Bern, Zurich, Basel). If there aren't any meetups, would there be enough interested people to plan a meetup? I would sincerely just like to connect with other real estate investors, talk investing and share ideas. So, if any Swiss or anyone from Switzerland is also interested in a meetup just post here.

Hi Diego Perez did you buy a house in Hialeah for 55k or was that what you down for the loan? If that was the price, how did you come across that house? Sounds like a great flip once you sell! Best of luck looking for the next

This thread has been great and very helpful. Thank you @Liz C. for having the boldness of posting your experience as it's really been on BP. I'm actually not too far behind your current status as I'm myself looking into Norada for out of state investing (country in my case) and have reached out to Norada already. I'm just in an intermittent phase waiting for the consultant to get back to me. Hopefully soon since I hope to come out and do some site visits!

Hi James Rader I've been contemplating the same. However, something to consider is how long would it take you or your realtor to find such a deal? I believe turnkey properties are already set to go pending your approval. So you'd know beforehand what you're buying (or should know). Depending on your situation it might make sense to go turnkey. I know in my area I would have to scour for deals for weeks.

Hi Karen Alexandre Ph.D and welcome to BP! Perhaps a year late, but nonetheless a warm welcome :) I'm originally from the southern more "crazy and crowdy" area and now I live in Switzerland (quite the change). I've recently done some research on Vero Beach and would be very interested to hear about your experience in this market! Also, how did it go with the Real Estate Agent exam?

Hi @Carlos Rovira

No one replied to your post :l

I am interested in learning if you jumped in on the Broward market, specifically Hallandale, over the past year since the post. I'm originally from Miami and have heard of better COC returns for MFH in Hallandale.

Hi Albert Comas I'm also targeting the same areas with similar returns. However, I'm targeting these areas because of my low budget (<200K) for MFH. If I may ask, why stick to these lower neighborhoods if your budget permits for better areas (ex. Mid/North MB)?

I can attest for Zurich, Switzerland. I live just 20 mins away and my rent is about 30-40% less than what I would pay in Zurich. And let's not talk about home purchase prices. In addition to conservative Swiss lendors, in Zurich the median asking price for SFH was CHF 1.62 million (roughly one-to-one with the USD). Thus, making it practically impossible to invest or live the "American Dream" in Switzerland.
