My business partner and I (we both live and operate in LA) are planning to set up an LLC for each flip we do.. But getting mixed advice on Nevada LLC's vs. CA ones.. Some say NV is kinder insofar as protecting us re piercing the corporate veil.. ("Nevada Corporate Headquarters" for example). We would register here as a foreign entity, but then I also read about CA calling them "pseudo" foreign corps and that even if we were out of Nevada on paper, it would most likely be treated as a CA Corp anyway. My lawyer says as long as you keep it clean no need to go to Nevada anyway..

Curious anyone's thoughts/ experience?!

Hi @Pamela Starnes! Thank you for your kind words! You know my partner and I share a best friend so she kind of pointed us in each other's direction.. And I think it's a good match. I am good with numbers and analysis and at my desk while she is on the ground and racing around..! She brings construction at cost to the pot and I am bringing deals and will do my RE license soon so we can cut that cost too.. So far so good! But we trust each other and are excited!

Hi Everyone!!
I am an investor from LA. Super excited to be getting up and running and part of this community! My business partner is a contractor (who also designs and does plans) who has been flipping for other investors and now we are getting off the ground doing it for ourselves! I have also bought and rehabbed a few properties of my own.. and bring a finance and design background myself. We are all cash. Looking for SFR's. For now.! I and look forward to connecting with you all somewhere along this journey!! ;)
