Corporate Veil Protection. Nevada vs CA??!!
My business partner and I (we both live and operate in LA) are planning to set up an LLC for each flip we do.. But getting mixed advice on Nevada LLC's vs. CA ones.. Some say NV is kinder insofar as protecting us re piercing the corporate veil.. ("Nevada Corporate Headquarters" for example). We would register here as a foreign entity, but then I also read about CA calling them "pseudo" foreign corps and that even if we were out of Nevada on paper, it would most likely be treated as a CA Corp anyway. My lawyer says as long as you keep it clean no need to go to Nevada anyway..
Curious anyone's thoughts/ experience?!
