I'm looking for my first rental prop. And was wondering if contacting property management companies might be a good source to check with, sense they should know if they have any owners looking to sell

@Mindy Jensen no I don't have a co signer available my wife to be and I are both young looking to start building wealth, but neither of us have good credit but have managed to save enough between the two of us to purchase a potential rental her score is better than mine but still sub 650.... I just don't know what if any option I have other than waiting smh bc I don't want to purchase the property and not be able to tap into its equity, which really sucks bc I know this is a great deal and the property is already cash flowing.

so I'm thinking of buying a rental unit that's right at the top of my budget and I will need some extra cash to renovate it so how difficult will it be to secure a loan with bad credit if I want to use the rental prop as collateral  after I purchase ??? Any info is appreciated thanks

thanks for the advice, I will definitely keep that in mind, and I'm not limited to the Savannah area only.  I've also looked at property in the Augusta Georgia area  but I'm leaning more towards the Savannah area bc I feel that it's job market is a little stronger...  But my main concern is not investing in an area that will be hard to find good tenants  tenants. So I'm more than open to any sound advice.

Thanks again  and best of luck to you aswell

hi I'm looking to invest in my first rental property and could use any tips offered by some of the seasoned investors.. I'll probably be looking for a single family and then expanding to multi family units
