Welcome Nick. I'm new to BP myself and I'm hoping to do the same.

Donnell, I bought my duplex a year ago with an existing section 8 tenant and the process was pretty simple. I believe the main concern for the housing authority is the property and not the owner. I simply called and ask them what I need to do to have the account transferred to my name and it was as simple as a W9, direct deposit form, and an addendum to update the lease agreement (or a new one if tenant is month to month). I found out later on that it was trickier to raise the rent since it has to be requested 3 months in advance. This is in WA, so the process might be a little different. Hope that helps.

Welcome. I'm also new to BP and hoping to learn as well. I've been overwhelmed with all the information so far but its great.

Angelica,

Thanks for connecting. I did recently join REIAWA and I'll be at the next meeting.

I'm currently a licensed real estate agent and for the past year, I've been learning about real estate investment.  I currently own a couple properties and I was involved in a few flips as well.  The return on these flips were very minimal but the learning process was priceless.

I'm looking to continue to learn and I'm hoping to network with other investors, wholesalers, agents in the area.  I work with a group of active investors who are always looking for more projects as well.  Please keep me as a contact if you think we can help each other grow.
