Hi all, I have llc set up for my rental and everytime new tenant move in I need to go bank open a new business escrow account is a pain. Sometime the banker has no clue and takes me few hours each time on bank.

Anyone has a better solution or any bank that’s quick and easy when comes to landlord and tenant deposit escrow account? Also according the law the state need to escrow account to be interest baring account

@Eliott Elias you must have great property management company. My experience with them are so so. Losing money and extensive repairs even after tried 2 different PM With great referral.

When I manage myself things are much easier.

Hi all, I opened a HELOC with td bank two years ago, now I am moving the HELOC rate is for owner occupied rate. Is any difference between HELOC and mortgage? If I told me I move out from my primary home will they close my HELOC? Or can I just request a mailing address change as I don't want my 1098 to be arrive to my tenant. Since it contains a lot personal info.

Hi all, I took this loan out for my residential condo, now I am moving away and wanted to rent my residential to a tenant. But since mortgage was applied for my primary address. Can I request an address change? My broker told me better not too. But I don’t want my mortgage account and my 1098 which with all my personal info to be mail it my tenant.

Hi all, any landlord with more than 10 properties, have you have experience of installing master key system/ also called landlord key system one your apartment?

My new locksmith try to convence me to install those system on one of my unit and might be others as he explaint to me I keep one key for all units as master key. And each of my tenant has a different key.

Any advice on those who used those key? Are they worth it?

They are double of the price of normal key.

I do find every interesting the idea. However I wonder how practical is once we actually use them. Any cons?
