Is Point2 basically the same as LoopNet?

I spoke with a local engineer about developing some land into smaller buildable lots.  He was extremely helpful because he does it all the time.  I simply explained to him what my intentions were and tried to get some rough figures (norms) just to see what all it involved.  It definitely can get very expensive quickly.  I would not do anything until I talked with someone with lots of experience and run the numbers several times.  Obviously you want to get bids from everyone involved, but you can get ideas with a short chat.  

I am currently listing a property for rent.  After posting the property on Zillow, hot pads, etc. I am up to 10 people interested.  My plan is to get the applications and review them.  My question is if there are more then one that qualifies what is the best way to pick to avoid being unfair and breaking any discrimination laws? 

I agree with Mike.  If your not experienced with building I would take the easy money and move on to the next project to make money.  

Yes, builders risk and general liability is a requirement.  A good insurance agent will guide you in the right direction.  

I am having trouble with BP calculators.

For example: After I enter the data in the first page on rental calculators it will not go to the next page. I have logged out and back in to make sure that was not an issue. What am I missing?

Thanks for the responses. I am looking at the middle Tn area. Manchester or murfreesboro, TN. My goal is to build cash flow and some appreciation. I am newer to BP and very excited to get my journey started. Currently I have one SFR and basically educating myself right now on BP so I don't lose a lot of money. My first goal is to figure out what my overall plan is; SFR, multi, commercial, etc. Thanks again.

Trying to decide on building a duplex or find single family home to rent. I have a small construction company so I could keep cost down. Anyone been in this situation before?
