@Alvin Uy I agree with you that college is overrated. I’ve always thought I could learn way more with the money it costs to go to college. I could learn more useful and applicable things by getting experience in the real world and reading books. Especially when it comes to real estate and investing. And that why I say I have no “drive” to go... but like I mentioned it’s free so I want to take that opportunity. It only costs my time and I want to spend that time as effectively as possible and not waste time getting a useless degree. I am thoroughly impressed by your track record and I find your experiences very interesting. I love how you said “double major in Passion and Drive! These are the most important factors you need to succeed in any endeavor ...everything else you can hire out.” very well put. I might quote you on that.

@Daniel Lichtenfels You bring up a good point with removing the CPA expenses by doing it myself. Definitely a new way of looking at it, as I mentioned accounting is one of the big ones I'm looking at. I love that you added your personal experience with college and how it can benefit. Did you find the business management classes useful? what specific skills did they teach?

@Rita Medeiros I haven't thought of the benefits of public speaking, I know my college offers many courses in that subject and I see where that is important, especially with presentations like you said. I will for sure consider taking some, great perspective on the topic.

@Dylan DeBellis Not a bad idea, @Caleb Heimsoth and @Kwaku Farkye had the same thought I think. Using college to learn how to take care of the rehab, which is a huge part of investing in real estate. Although, I think they had more of a point on the management part of it rather than the construction itself. This also kind of pushes me towards a business management focus, to learn how to manage people in my investing business.

@Caleb Heimsoth good points, I’m already looking into the kind of pay each major might offer.

@Sean McCluskey those are some great tips and advice! I appreciate your input, this is a big decision for me and I want to do it right. Great idea on meeting with the club leaders, I’m definitely going to take advantage of that

@Frank Wong well said, I think that’s definitely a good idea. My aim was pointed in that direction, you just said it better than I could. I’m hoping to find a career that pays well but is on my area of interest which is why I’m looking at the degrees that I am. I have always had an Interest in business and finance so if I can find a good job in that area.. we’ll, that’s the goal. Also, thanks for the input on the real estate classes, that’s the vibe I’ve been getting form others who have taken them as well.
