Wow Mike, I seem to recall a not too distant thread where you impressed us all (beaten over our heads with a stick was more like it) with your unwillingness to do ANYTHING at all illegal, even as insignificant as jaywalking or speeding... and now THIS! So much for that aura of unrivaled model citizenry - NEVER EVER breaking ANY law...

But hey, 7mi over limit is not illegal in anyone's book, right? After all, you never got a citation... and the highway was pretty lonely also...

More difficult than ITS vs IT'S. That's for sure.

It's all about respect. I have it.

Sorry Tim, I'll stick to apostrophes, even if that's trolling to some. To me, IT'S having enough respect not to butcher the language.

This, coming from a non English major, and a non native English speaker.

For the record, I worked for an insurance company (one of the top 3 or 5 depending how you rank) for going on 20 yrs now, but not for a moment has crossed my mind that would make me some sort of an "expert" in that area.

P.S. Nor have I ever had the narcissistic urge to see how fond Google, Bing or other virtual entities are of my own beloved self. Nobody better be looking for me there, ever...

Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, complimenting Bush for being relentlessly "steady": "Events can change; this man's beliefs never will. He believes the same thing Wednesday as he did Monday. No matter what happened Tuesday."

'nuff said.

Self righteousness, dear rich23s, as a random example, is knowing more about immigration than an immigrant, knowing more socialism than someone who lived it, knowing more about jewishness than a full blodded jew who had lived in Israel... and the list can continue. All strikingly similar views with those regurgitated during weeping episodes on Faux News, I might add.

But, to stay on topic, There is No Hope.... that these simple truths will ever get across... This Discussion is DONE!

Larry, you seem to have someone in particular in mind?

Sorry, I can't help you with that.

One has to love these discussions (I do)where self righteous, self appointed experts know better than an immigrant what it's like being one, or going thru the immigration process. Or know what socialism is like, better than one having lived thru it half their life. Or know more about feeling jewish (and actually do feel so) than a natural born and lived, jewish person. And nobody dare contradict them, you pathetic highly educated, resource sucking libs!

WOW, it's almost like watching the Glenn Beck spectacle, minus the weeping crisis.

Although that may appear too, at some point, to add flavor and credibility to their arguments. So let the show go on!

On a personal note, what I find truly pathetic is the consistent misuse of "it's" and "its" coming from a former English major, I would expect that from someone whose native tongue isn't English. But that's way beside the point here...

"Not keeping my records together"? Tim have you read at all my experience? I doubt it, from your response, try that first, then we'll talk. Or maybe not.

Mike, after laying down my whole life story (and legal/illegal experience with INS) and your response is your last moving violation? I'm sorry I just wasted my time here, I don't think that can be a productive discussion. (hint: speeding does not ALWAYS equate to sanctioned violation). To the best of your knowledge you never jaywalked! To the best of my knowledge I was never in breach of the law... until I found out otherwise, that I was illegal, on deportation, due to a generous INS screw up. Need I say more?
