Thanks Josh, would "You are one of those narrow minded people " be considered a personal attack? I hope not, I didn't take it as such, I was just trying to cope with it without counseling.

"I fail to see how not wanting my rights taken away and having another's forced down my throat and being able to engage in indpendent thought is being narrow minded"

In one post you call me narrow minded, and here you call yourself that, in the context. I'm severely confused here but I'm sure educated people aren't...

Sorry, I can't comment on this, I'm just a narrow minded person. The experts told me so.

Oh yeah, and I wish I had just _studied_ about those social phenomenons instead of living over 20 yrs of it, because all that grueling experience left me clueless... But again, I'm glad that non-narrow minded people are making that all too obvious...

P.S. "We have a large portion of the country that are not educated" reminds me of "Is our children learning?"

I wish I could comment more on that but unfortunately English is not my native tongue. Besides, I'm narrow minded...

I love those slogans, reminds me of my childhood.

I'd rather not get into that discussion because I actually have no idea what socialism and communism are all about.

I realized that talking heads on fox news have a much better grasp on those concepts than people that actually lived through 20 yrs of it. Like me.

So I give it up, sit on the sidelines entertained and ocasionally point out what's obvious to me.

P.S. "You are one of those narrow minded people" yup, I am just that, thanks for making it obvious to everyone.

"watch our country go to hell, There are many generations of liberals who have worked very hard to provide this moment for you."

Good thing we had things bounce back in the past 8 or so yrs, otherwise we'd be in a really bad hole right now.

Oh, wait...

I'm in a similar situation, therefore similar question. I am actually determined to rent the property this year, but the bulk of repairs were done last year. Advice on what's best, taxwise?

Oh yeah, property was put for rent at the end of last year, if that matters

My heart goes out to the big wig executives that will scrounge to survive on measly hundreds of thousands of $$$ a year, after years of rightfully earning 300-500 times an average worker's wage, all while performing exceptionally and running the system into (or rather below) the ground.

Oh brother Madoff, Thain, where art thou?

While definitely not a model to revere, we shouldn't pity the Chinese much nowadays. To use an analogy familiar here on BP, they are the landlord with a tenant (us) stuck so far in debt, where eviction is not even an option anymore, just the faint hope that some day they may recoup some of the money.

As far as Russians go, I think we should and could look at them (worried) as a perfect example on how to fail being bogged down in endless quagmire wars on a deserted place like Afghanistan. Sounds familiar?

Although, to their credit, they did make quite a comeback in the last decade while others were sinking...

But that of course is just my opinion.

Of course, he just follows right on the footsteps of his predecessor.

In regards to the will, at least the presidential approval rating is about twice what it used to be about 1 yr ago.
For now, of course, that may change as the ongoing disaster unveils.

I think it's surprising nobody finds this worrisome:

Any comments?
