For rentals, I just do a 3 tab.  In Wichita and Tulsa where I have my properties, there's really not a lot to do to prevent hail damage without a substantial cost.  Hail damage will happen in these areas, it's most just a matter of when.

@Glenn McCrorey

You are inspiring to me because I currently work in the Aerospace industry.  I've grown tired of moving and always on the lookout for the next job due to the instability in the industry.  I'm hoping I can call it quits in another 4 years.

I think if you have the space and it will be convenient and functional to the owners, you need to add one.  You should get all the money back, plus have a bigger pool of potential buyers to draw from.

I understand it.  It's just that I have to live in fear of being sued.  That was the point I was trying to make.

The comments in this post is exactly what is wrong with this country.  There are plenty of college age kids and veterans that are struggling to find work.  I have plenty  of low skilled work that i would be more than happy to pay a person $10-$12/hr to accomplish.  However, I have to live in fear of the IRS and WC in order to so.  Just seems crazy to me.
