Welcome to BP! I'm relatively new as well to the REI world but I would agree with Rigo, there is no substitute for experience. I would starting with building your team and meeting people in the community.

I plan on purchasing, rehabbing, and renting out a property within the next couple of months, you're absolutely welcome to learn from my experience.  Let me know how else I can assist!

I also live in DFW area and have just started with similar goals as yourself. I'd recommend starting with meeting as many people as possible and building your team while simultaneously continuing to prepare to be a landlord etc. We have a BP meetup every month in Euless/Hurst/Bedford area, usually every last Wednesday of the month, I can send you details as I get them. 

Also, I'd recommend checking out this event on July 11th. I went to the last one, met some outstanding people and got a lot of great information.

Hello everyone! I'm extremely excited to be apart of the BP community. What an amazing platform and I look forward to connecting, learning, and sharing often! I currently live in Keller between Dallas and Fort Worth. I own one single family rental property but would like to get more involved and knowledgable on REI. I plan to continue with buy and holds with a focus on cash flow while I build knowledge in the industry and area. I really enjoy learning and connecting with people and BP seems like the perfect place for both. Interested to hear if there are any local REI groups. Look forward to learning and contributing in any way I can!
