@Mary B.

Did you get this from the PA realtors association website? I'm trying to get my hands on these "2 page" contracts that are mentioned but what I find is 10-13 pages.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Post: What to do when you cant find property records?

So here is the back story.

I'm using the county tax assessor site to do background on a house that looks abandoned or at least unloved. I drive past it everyday on my way home from work, but never see cars there etc. Basically I'm telling you that this house is not a figment of my imagination.

So here's the thing...

I can't seem to find any records that the address exists. I've pulled up the entire streets worth of addresses on the tax assessor site, clicked through each one and cant match the physical address. Nothing comes up when I google it, I cant find any record of sale or ownership through the real estate websites. Nothing...

Has anyone encountered something like this before? As a newbie I'm stumped, but think I could be on to something.

If anyone has any guidance or suggestions I am all ears! (well eyes since I'll be reading your comment, but you know what I mean)

Thanks!

@Justin Aymer

If I was in your position I would try to negotiate the amount your friend is asking for if it feels a little high; but keep in mind, you did ask for her help, she is a friend, and at the end of the day $1300 is still pretty cheap "real world" experience vs what some of the "boot camps" and guru programs run for.

AND

congrats on your first deal!

Leon Nicholson Welcome! I'm in the North Wales area (northern suburb of Philly). Hopefully I'll see you at some of the local REIA meetings :)

@Jon Holdman is right. Do you really want to risk heavy fines, or something on the record (remember you're in business, people will research you at some point if you want loans etc) ? There may be a permit you can get from the city to post signs, which would be a much better option.

I agree with @Bill Gulley , if you aren't doing anything illegal it sounds like you've basically hit a jackpot of sorts.

Walt Payne Hi Walt, If you google "best personal cloud drives" there is an article on pcmag.com that goes through a few options. and at work a few weeks ago I had an auditor talking about the "WD My Cloud" and about how much he LOVED it (15 minute conversation). That is probably the route I'll be taking at some point.
