Can someone please tell me exactly how to use the county tax assessors office to find potential buyers who are buying in my area. Do I need to their names first and/or the location of some of their properties. I just need to know what to put into the search criteria. Thanks!

@Shane Dobson I would be very upfront with them and state that you are looking at buying some investment properties, and want to find out what you can do that would assist the title company during the process. Any way to frame the conversation that you are there to assist them in their work, and then ask if they have any other repeat clientel, may be the best way. I made my "in" through the gal at the front desk, as they see every transaction, and are generally speaking, more outgoing and willing to chat.

The best advice I have ever heard, and this site repeats it over and over again, is just go do something, and the momentum will carry you to where you need to be. I've been threatened, had a gun pointed at me, hung up on, and made numerous contacts that "disappear" at the moment of truth, but I can eat an elephant as long as I take it one bite at a time.
