@Shyd Coloma Bummed I missed this.  Please add me to your list if there's an email blast for the next one.

Yes sir! BTW, thanks for the recommendation for Miguel Huerta! He helped me build out our current ADU and it turned out awesome! I would love to chat and connect more with you at the next meetup! I'll make sure Kevin adds you to his email distro.

Quote from @Sterling Granger:

It was great meeting several of you this evening, trading war stories, and having a genuinely good time bonding over our investing moves! Shyd & Jessica are doing big things - inspiring to hear your journey in life and RE investing. Thank you for getting this going, Kevin/Shyd :-)

It was great meeting you as well, Sterling! Look forward to chatting more again soon in the future!

**POSTING ON BEHALF OF MY BUDDY, @Kevin Aranha**

Interested in Real Estate? Come join us for the first ever Ventura Real Estate Meetup, more like a low key mixer (no sales pitch involved).

Hoping to create a network of like-minded individuals who can come together monthly (first Thursday every month) and share their stories, experiences and contacts. After all life is too short to learn from your mistakes so learn from others! Whether you’ve been investing for decades or are planning on buying your first property, whether you are into STRs, MTRs or LTRs, whether you prefer In State Investing or Out of State Investing, we hope you can come join us for a drink or a slice of pizza and enjoy some great company.

Looking forward to building a community to help us all grow together. Feel free to reach out with any queries to Kevin Aranha 323-646-2897 or [email protected] and if you want to be included in future communications.

@Nik Moushon..thanks for the insights! 100% agree! Before we got into our current market we followed-up with the city clerk's office, read the city website regulations, searched Google, and spoke to local hosts in the community.

@Daniel Nobile…since they may use the home themselves from time to time, they want something more with lakes, hiking trails, and water sports to include fishing/crabbing. Doesn’t need to be in a big city, but should be nearby restaurants and grocery stores. Dense urban areas or super remote areas are probably not markets they’d be interested in. They’re from Tacoma, so something within a 2-3 hour drive would be a plus.

Hello! I'm looking for investors/realtors in the Washington State market specializing in STRs. My in-laws live in Washington State and would like to 1031 exchange their LTR into another investment opportunity in Washington. I've been talking to them about getting a property for STR purposes and my wife and I will manage it for them. We're from California and already have experience managing our STR property out of state.

Hi Columbus investors. Anyone in the group running their properties as fully furnished mid-term rentals (outside of traveling nurse programs)? I recently received an inquiry about one of my properties from summer interns working for JPMorgan Chase and it got me thinking about what other traveling professionals outside of the healthcare industry are out there that we could market our property to. I’d love to connect with somone whose done this strategy for awhile and see how they run and advertise their mid-term rentals.

@Lindsey Clark, I was talking to another BP member who worked with Jay Huffman with Hotwire remodeling in Dayton and he said he had a great experience with him. Jay is an electrician first, but does work bigger rehab projects as well.

@Jared Prevost, the link seems to only have the .pptx file. Is there another link I'm missing?

I'm currently investing in the Dayton/Columbus, Ohio markets.
