Post: Looking for Contractors and Inspectors in Chicago

I am finishing the year with a multi-unit foreclosure deal in the Chicago area and I am looking for two special people:

1.  An inspector that can evaluate foreclosures that are in bad shape.

2.  A contractor that can work with me to bring these foreclosures back to life.

The property is located in the West Town/Noble Square area and is in need of extensive floor, kitchen, and bathroom renovations. I am planning to do a few rehab deals in Chicago in 2017 so I am looking for consistent help. Please feel free to PM me any suggestions or reply direct here.

Thanks again!

I have an investment property in the Orlando area that has quite a bit of equity built up.  I would like to refinance the home and pull a bit of cash out to finance a pending deal I have in Chicago.  Any advice or referrals for lenders would be much appreciated.  I am looking to work with a smaller/mid-sized bank as we will be doing quite a bit of work moving forward and I would like to establish a close personal relationship with my lender.

Hi Guys!

I am managing a few properties in the Venice Beach area and am looking for a handyman that can help out with a some small projects.   Nothing major, I am looking for someone that can handle things like hanging up curtains, repairing window screens, potentially upgrading a few light fixtures.

If any community members know anybody, please drop me a line!

Thanks again,

Shray

Amazing work!  One suggestion I would throw out there is to hire a real estate photographer for around $100 to photograph the whole house.  I use them for my airbnb listings and there is a tangible increase in price with professional photos vs iPhone pictures.  The wine bottle was a great touch, definitely use it again!

I have heard a lot of people doing the "Campers on the Beach" model.  I manage a few rentals in Malibu and while it's technically legal, your biggest problem will be entitled nimby neighbors that don't want newcomers.  If you're planning to buy land and put an airstream on it, it would seem legal as long as you have a solution for running water and sewage.  Good luck, let me know how this works out!

@Thomas Landis  Sounds good, I should be in town on the 21st so I'll attend.  Please send me an invite to the meeting!

@Ryan Tschetter  1pm works for me.  You choose the spot!
